HOW MANY SESSIONS FOR LASER HAIR REMOVAL?

The amount of laser hair removal sessions you will need may vary. It is dependent on a few things, like the amount of hair in the area, the coarseness of the hair, and hormones that can play a part. We recommend a series of 12 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart over a year for optimal results. It is very important to be consistent with your series of 12 treatments. A common question asked is how long does laser hair removal work? It will work forever. Again, consistency is key. You need to be consistent with how frequently you come in for your treatments. If you wait 6 months in between treatments, your results may suffer due to the length of time in between appointments. That being said, it is never too late to start back up your laser hair removal journey and be consistent with your treatments.

DOES LASER HAIR REMOVAL LAST FOREVER?

Laser hair removal, how long does it last? It lasts forever. However, we do advise you to come in periodically for touch-ups to maintain your results. After the first initial 12 treatments, everyone’s touch-up cycle looks a little different. Some people need a touch-up once a year, and some like to come every few months. It is entirely up to you and your needs. Our touch-up pricing is very affordable for all areas. Touch-up pricing starts as low as $25, and the pricing varies depending on the number of areas that we are treating.

LASER HAIR REMOVAL DURATION

The size and amount of treatment areas will depend on the duration of your appointment. You can expect to be at the Haus of Aesthetics for anywhere from 30-90 minutes. We try to be quick, thorough, and effective with our treatments. During your appointment, you can expect your technician to clean the treatment area, ask about any changes since your last treatment, give you protective glasses to wear, and then begin treating. Common treatment areas are underarms, legs, bikini, face, and Brazilian. However, we can treat just about everywhere on the body. Your Laser Hair Removal consultation will be performed by one of our highly qualified Master Aestheticians. All of our providers have been trained to effectively and safely treat every skin type and ethnicity. During your consultation, your provider will ask you a series of questions to verify if you are a candidate for laser hair removal. They will also go over everything you need to know to prepare for your treatments and what to expect.
Before your LHR appointment, you will need to prepare your skin at home. Here are some of our industry secrets to optimize your laser treatments at home.

INDUSTRY SECRETS:

  • Dry brush before you hop in the shower at home. Moving towards your heart, lightly exfoliate your entire body.
  • Once in the shower, lather your entire body using a gentle cleanser. We recommend the Lalicious shower gel on a loofa.
  • Using the foam from your shower gel, shave the area moving along with the hair growth. This will help to reduce irritation and ingrown hairs.
  • Rinse and pat dry.
  • DO NOT apply any lotions or creams.
  • Avoid self tanning or sun exposure for 2 weeks before your treatment
  • Reschedule your appointment if you have taken antibiotics less than 2 weeks before your treatment.
  • Avoid use of retinoids or active ingredients in the area less than 2 weeks before your treatment.
  • Avoid raising your body temperature (ie. hot showers or saunas, hot pilates or intense workouts) for 3 hours prior & 24 hours post treatment.
  • Do not get LHR treatments if you are pregnant or nursing.
  • Do not get LHR treatments if you are prone to seizures or sensitivities to light.
