WHAT IS FILLER DISSOLVING?

Filler dissolving services use a substance called hyaluronidase to dissolve or adjust fillers. But, how does filler dissolving work? Hyaluronidase enzymes break down HA fillers into much smaller components. It doesn’t actually destroy HA, but it makes it easier for your body to absorb and metabolize it. Most people don’t need filler dissolvers because they love their filler injection results. However, you’ll be thankful for filler dissolvers if your filler injections go wrong.

What Types of Fillers Can Be Dissolved?

Not all fillers can be dissolved. The only type that can be safely and effectively reversed is hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers, such as Juvéderm, Restylane, Versa, Belotero, and RHA. These can be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase, which breaks the filler down so your body can naturally clear it away.

What Are Some Reasons to Use Filler Dissolvers?

Ideally, you’ll fall in love with your new and improved appearance after receiving filler injections. However, some people may end up needing filler dissolving treatment. Here are some of the most common reasons to seek filler dissolution:

If you experience any of the above complications or complaints, please contact Haus of Aesthetics. Our skilled providers can rectify the problem with hyaluronidase.

What to Expect When Dissolving Filler

Are you curious to know what will happen during your upcoming filler dissolving appointment? Your appointment begins with a consultation and treatment. It ends with aftercare instructions to help you get the best results. Here’s what to expect during each step of the process:

Consultation

Before correcting your fillers, we’ll meet with you to discuss what you don’t like about them. If they’re lopsided or overfilled, we can strategically correct the problem with hyaluronidase. If you don’t like your fillers at all, we’ll inject enough dissolver to help your body metabolize them entirely.

Treatment

After your consultation, we’ll place your dissolver injections in the desired areas. This process usually takes 30 minutes or less. We can numb the injection sites beforehand to help you stay as comfortable as possible. The hyaluronidase injections can feel like a quick pinch or sting, much like the original filler injections. After treatment, your injection sites may be temporarily tender, swollen, or even bruised. These symptoms should pass within a few days.

Results and Aftercare

Most patients can see a subtle reduction in filler volume soon after their dissolving filler injections. However, your full results likely won’t appear until up to two weeks afterward. Depending on how much filler you need dissolved, you may need to receive multiple dissolution treatments to get the results you want.

Dissolving Lip Filler

Understanding these stages helps set realistic expectations and makes the process manageable and straightforward. With the proper care, filler dissolver can give you a fresh start and a look you love.

Dissolving Cheek Filler

Dissolving cheek filler involves the same general treatment stages as dissolving lip filler. You can speed up the cheek filler dissolving process through facial massage. Only do this as your provider recommends to help break down the filler material.

Dissolving Under-Eye Filler

When dissolving under-eye filler, you can expect the same general stages and treatment processes. Full results may take weeks to appear. However, you should notice subtle changes within a few days of your injections. Follow your provider’s aftercare instructions to enjoy the best treatment outcomes.
